Ive seen similar thread inserts on amazon for m10 size bolts. So if I were to use those would that work? The original bolt is like 30mm in length the inserts are not that long though, would it still work?

are you saying I can try tap with a m10 tap but I would have to use a bigger bolt like m12?

Correct it broke before it got all the way in. Its probably in 3/4 of the way

Is it possible to use a tap to fix threads if I can get the bolt out and the threads are messed up?

So its a M10 bolt. Are you saying I should use a drill bit and drill out the hole? What drill bit size should I use and if I do this, what happens to the threads in the hole?

Any recommendations? I believe these are grade 8 bolts.

I actually placed the jack there after to see if it will help align the hole. The jack was not there before.

I took out the 2 bolts behind the wheel which are for the k member I think. I was reinstalling the strakes. One of the bolts went in fine but the other one was very hard to go in. It eventually broke while I was putting it back in. I did notice that the hole was a bit misaligned from factory...

Thanks for easing my mind guys! I put the plastic push pins and clips first and then the screws. It worked out.

Did an oil change and installed the underbody strakes/air deflectors that the dealership forgot to install and were just sitting in my trunk

Changed my engine oil today and when taking off the bottom splash shield I noticed the screw holes and push pin holes were misaligned. Does anyone else have this? I bought the car brand new from dealer, is this just screwed up from factory?
