I know my paint has several issues but at this point im trying to get ford to refund me a couple grand for the issues. They approved the warranty repair however, they wont pay the only body shop in towns price. So ive have been fighting with them since jan and am at a stand still. The body shop did tell me they have no way to really bake the paint like they do in factory so it will be softer than oem. Their advice was to ask for a settlement and live with it.Often times the fix is worse than the problem. Factory paint is generally better, and things can happen when in any mechanic or body shop. I think it's often best to live with little issues. Perhaps the plastic can be changed out for a new part. but then you still have to have a body shop take it all apart and things happen. Just my opinion, unless there is full paint failure, I think you will be happier leaving it alone.
