I made a post a little over a week ago about this, and a solution was proposed -- tuck it back in. But I'm notacarguy, so I can't seem to fix it off of those instructions. These three images show my side skirt (which you can see is not in great shape) and two plastic retainers that hold it in. One as it should be, and one that is untucked. I have been prying at this for a while and my fingers do not seem to be the solution, but I'm scared if I apply too much pressure I'll break it off. Not something I want to do. Does anyone have some good instruction on how I can do this? I tried looking for a video but it seems this issue is pretty specific, so some descriptive words will have to do.

Thanks,
notacarguy

A: You could try using a rolling floor jack with a small block of wood/plastic/rubber/whatever on the jack saddle; centered on the head of the pin. Gently/slowly jack your block up under the pin until it snaps back into place. The weight of your Mustang should do all the work for you.

B: Or, use a short wooden/plastic/hard rubber dowel that's smaller than the head of the pin, and a hammer of your choice to tap it back into place. Gives you the option of starting out with fairly petite taps and ramping up the muscle gradually until the pin seats back into place. You'd have to get your Mustang high enough off the ground to have room to swing the hammer though, so that might be an issue for you.

Good luck!

PS: If your Mustang EXPLODES; it's not my fault. 😉
