I'm trying to replace my OEM titanium manual shift knob with a weighted teardrop shift knob from Billetworkz, but I can't get the OEM knob off. It just spins in both directions. Is there something I'm missing? Is there a lock nut of some sort I'm not aware of? I did this same mod to my 2018 GT Premium with no issues. Please help.

I replaced my stock knob and it just unscrewed. Counterclockwise off.

And that's what's supposed to happen, but mine just spins. It doesn't spin freely. It takes some torque, but it doesn't break loose and I'm afraid to keep twisting and break something.

Maybe there is a trick because titanium knobs are high dollar. Check with folks at RTR. They modify everything.

Nope, no trick. The titanium one in my DH just unthreaded.

That's funny because I removed my GT original in favor of the Dark Horse Titanium shift knob. I used plenty of points to get it down to $100.

Same here. We replaced my son's gear shift knob with one from Shelby's store. Only issue was trying to get the bottom lock nut in the perfect spot when screwing it back on.
