So we know what sort of quarter mile times our Mustangs run.

And we know what sort of quarter mile times cars in 1968 ran.

But what if we swapped our Coyote into a 1968 . . . .

running in a 3200 -3400 pound car instead of a 3800-3900 porker makes a difference

10.55 - Coyote has a Cobra Jet intake and headers and is running in front of an MT82 6 speed manual into which the 1968 Pontiac Firebird owner swapped the "6 cylinder" gearset for gear ratios he liked better.

NMRA coyote stock has been deep 9s for probably a decade or more.
Sealed engines.

Coyote in an MX5? A lot more work than a Chevy I've been told, but it'd be worth it.

Coyote in a Firebird is just wrong
I agree...should be a Pontiac power plant in vintage Poncho, but at the very least, a GM LS...LOL

My best friend is putting a 2011 Coyote with the M82 in a 2200 pound Factory 5. He's using an IRS from a 2018 GT donor.

Back when I raced time trials in my Corvette, the only one who could beat me was some dude in a turbo LS-swapped MX5 (Miata). Fortunately for me, it blew up so often that he usually got a DNF.
