I noticed that at very low speeds <30mph and low rpms < 2k when I slightly press the gas and then immediately let it off, there is a weird noise coming from the transmission. I know this trans likes to whine but is the sound bellow normal?

In the first part of the audio clip bellow the sound is similar to the starter, in the second part there is a more metallic noise. I noticed this morning when the temperature was low. The video is recored in the afternoon and after the tray is warmed up
Other than that the car shifts fine.
Any ideas or am I being paranoid?

Edit: Listen carefully to 1s, 4s those two point sound like the starter ....then listen to 17s , 19s, 22s The noise is not continuous but appear when i press the pedal and the let go immideately

Hard to hear on the video. I assume its louder in person? All I know is there are many stories of the A10 coming low on fluid from the factory. I'd take it in just to be sure.

Are you referring to the light metallic ringing noise? I've also heard it sometimes on my 2025 base auto GT a few times when letting off low throttle. I haven't heard it enough to piece together the specific conditions for it, but you may be on to something.

I found a similar sound online, is this the sound you're referring to? (faint whistle-rattle)

This is what that owner said in response to one of the comments:
"Unfortunately as weird and annoying as the noise is, it is not known to be a "problem" so it was not fixed. This was in my 6 speed manual, I have since traded it for a 19 10 speed and the same noise exists in the auto in that RPM range, although not quite as bad. I test drove quite a few of them after posting this, and unfortunately, they all did it to varying degrees."

yes correct. I just noticed it today when I was going with 20 mph. I thought it was my keys or sth that fell. lol. Car has almost 14k miles, drives and shifts well.
Try to do it at low speeds and let us know you hear it.

No, it's not that noise . No sure what the rattle is, but the whistle/whine is common for this transmission. In my video listen carefully at 1s, 4s those two point sound like the starter ....then listen to 17s , 19s, 22s when I let the gas off. The noise is not continuous...

I have an EB and I occasionally hear it too. If I were guessing... Depending on things like speed, engine RPM, temperature, etc., the torque converter locks up and unlocks as needed. You can duplicate the issue by traveling about 30 to 35 MPH, with the cruise control on. Then descend a grade steep enough grade to cause the car to exceed the cruise setting. You'll not only hear the change, you'll also feel it. In this case, I hear the same 'noise'.

Seems your radio isn’t working, what’s the volume level? But to the point, if the ‘noise’ is temp influenced that would seem to indicate fluid dynamics ( be it dry or low). The sound in post #4 sounds like possibly a heat or bell-housing shield.

OP I heard it in your video.
It is definitely audible at the second marks you noted. It sounds like the transmission is changing gears but I've never heard one that loud before. Especially on a new car. Keep an eye/ear on it.

I probably wouldn't do anything right now as long as it shifts smoothly, but certainly start complaining later down the line. Always good to have a track record of you complaining to the dealer to have it checked out, especially the closer you get to when your warranty is up. If there is a paper trail of this occurring, Ford will have a tough time blaming you for something you didn't do after that warranty is expired.

If it makes you feel any better about it, have your dealer take the car and check it out. Send their tech your video and include the second markers where the noise is occurring.

Ford does have a bad history with those 10 speed autos. The earlier ones were pretty bad back in 2018-2020, they have gotten better as time went on but they still aren't the greatest. I prefer the manual anyway. Document and complain away is what I say. It is a NEW car after all. Should operate flawlessly.

All I hear is a little bit of exhaust noise. My transmission doesn't make noise that I can hear.
