Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, I did not find it.
I've seen posts from people confirming the 2024 mustang 5.0L engine features a metal oil pan and threaded drain plug (15mm socket).
Does anyone know the thread pitch and size? Looking into purchasing a drain valve or similar to replace the dumb plug.

Sorry to keep repeating, can someone verify the 2024 mustang 5.0L oil drain plug is M12-1.75?
Perhaps someone with a parts diagram?

Thank you very much for the assist. I had seen the parts but not the thread number, not until you posted the link to Lakeland.

It still remains to be seen if the pitch is 1.5 or 1.75. Fumoto says it's a 1.75, Amazon says it's 1.5, Valvomax says "let me know when you find out." Grrr.

I wanted the replacement oil drain plug before I started the 1st oil change, but maybe I'll have to do the measurement myself, or see if a local dealer has the part and will let me measure it.

I bought the M12x1.75 Deefill drain plug from Amazon. Hopefully it fits.
The quality of the Deefill is excellent!

I changed the oil today and it fits. M12x1.75 is accurate.

I have purchased Fumoto in the past, but I must say the quality of the Deefill is clearly superior.

BTW- the stock plug is either not magnetic or extremely weak.

The oil drain plug torque value is 19 foot pounds. Just in case anyone else does not want to risk stripping theirs out. Thanks Late Model Restoration for posting that in a YT video!

I just ordered the Votex along with the clear 10liter container. It’s made in the USA and designed by a Veteran. Once i get it and install I’ll give a review

Did the Votex plug fit, I'm getting ready to do an oil change and wanted to be sure.
