It appears automatic vs manual transmissions are running significantly different temps?

This was this afternoon. As you can see ambient temp 108. Humidity was around 10%. Surface street driving. Never got down to ambient temp.I think it’s probably due radiating heat from asphalt roadway. I never got on freeway to get higher airflow through radiator.

I've read that 220F-230F is the norm for engine oil temperatures, pushed as high as 260F-270F in extreme conditions. This is NOT the same as cylinder head temperature or engine coolant temperature.

I have 2024 GT Premium with kooks long tube headers, corsa double h pipe and stage 2 whipple kit and mine runs anywhere between 195-225 if I’m ripping on it and 90 degrees outside.

Just seeing this thread. Recently install the OEM oil cooler on my non-PP S650. Oil temps have not dropped as I would have expected them. I am going to install the PP radiator as it is 17mm thicker and should have better cooling capacity which would impact the inferred oil temps. The picture is from earlier today. Hoping to install the rear diff temp sensor and harness later next week.

What are normal oil temperatures for the 5.0?
[/QUOTE]

Oil does not even start burning off water vapor or deposits until 230 or so (needed from time to time). Synthetic oil does not start to break down until much higher. I'm not sure why everyone is worried about the oil temps on these cars, they seem to be running right where they should be.

More an issue of simulated display. If the ‘gauge’ aint accurate who’s to say it really works.
