People need to stop obsessing over these temps and second guessing Ford engineers. And they also need to stop conflating oil temp and cylinder head temp. The only reason why it's even a discussion is because we now have a guage I'm front of our face 24/7. Before the S650 came out, no one ever gave it a second thought unless you had a GT350.
And the people putting oil coolers on non PP cars need to understand that oil temp is determined by a computer algorithm, not an actual dedicated sensor. So if you add a cooler, the computer won't know that or factor it into its calculations unless you do a software update.
Is the oil temp number done by an actual thermometer or done by computer calculation?
Also, I would be more worried about running cold rather than hot
