I was hoping this would be a straight bolt-on (using existing holes) and with 3M tape.

Clearly seems they can't (won't) get the engineering of this right... 🤬

Both end plates are metal, no drilling of the decklid, just aligned everything up, marked my holes from underneath with a red sharpie and drilled the spoiler for the new placement, everything bolted down after that with no issues and looks perfect

I can’t fathom the lazy engineering that went into this DAR spoiler, they literally had it modified to cover the center holes and they did not modify the mounting points?
Every other manufacturer just trying to milk us with “carbon fibre” spoiler. Bro, like seriously, not everyone has a handling pack dark horse that wants to put a carbon fibre spoiler/splitter.
They literally have CAD files of the carbon fibre spoiler, and make ABS plastic moulds from that CAD files, but they are not.

That looks great! Good to know it's a simple bolt into the spoiler. Silly DAR didn't realign the holes, but that's better than having to redrill the trunk... Awesome!

@stang2b Thanks for the info (marking the spoiler hole locations through the deck lid holes from underneath) and especially the photos.

I can do that!

Couple quick questions -

1. did you end up just positioning the spoiler and then marking / drilling new holes on the spoiler at the OEM bolt location? (I see the measurements, but is that just for awareness?)

2. Did you use the same lag bolts that came with the spoiler or did you go with shorter ones? I saw a note earlier in the thread that you were afraid they might be too long at the new location?

Thanks!

Yes, I set it all up, adjusting it to make sure it was completely even and marked the holes from underneath through the trunk original hole locations, then matched up a drill bit just a bit smaller than the bolts that came in the wing, I was uncertain if the new location would be shorter that the original spot so I added washer to compensate the difference and add some support to the trunk hole, because it's just thin sheet metal, the bolts it came with are metal sharp tip screws and not machine thread, if I ever remove it for any reason I'll drill it out a little more and use rivet nuts, but as it is now with the bolts and 3m tape, it's really solid and no issues at all, even the paint on it was great, so kudos to Dars Spoilers, for just a little modding, can't beat the price, very happy with the results so far
