Has anyone else had issues around the rear window where you can see the undercoat / through the colour etc. My Dark horse is Blue Ember and on both sides of the rear window the metal that goes under the glass and around the side has light paint. I am devastated by how bad it looks.

I waited over 2 years for this car (Australia).

Hard to see in your pictures, but I have an unpainted area between the windshield and A Pilar inside the crease on the drivers side. It's not noticeable unless you look for it. But it's just another example of the awesome paint application at the factory.

@Velocitys2020 ....... I can see where you are upset. As I see it you have two choices. Before considering either I would take it to the dealership and have them record the issue - WITH pictures and give you a work order or warranty issue claim number. - in case there is a further future deterioration. Then I would take it to a very, very good custom paint shop(s) and ask them their opinion. Could they do something that was less noticeable? If they said yes I would take that information to the dealer and discuss having the custom shop do the work. Most dealerships can not do this level of repair. Then, after hearing options, I would have a good "think" about what I wanted. Having owned a custom paint company I know that it is easy to make a situation like this a LOT worse if the wrong technician is involved.....and with this type of repair (where a number of disparate materials come together) it is easy for matters to go sideways. Are you prepared to roll those dice? If it were me I'd have the dealership record my concern, gather info from great paint shops then decide if I could I could live with it. I would wait at least two weeks before I made a decision that could end-up worse. What you do have is an awesome car. Most can only dream of owning a DH. Don't let this ruin your enjoyment. My guess is that after a few weeks of awesome driving you won't even think of that area. If you still do then look at a custom spray touch up.

This is just how Mustangs are made.....

Sweet drivetrain and suspension......

Horrible build quality in terms of exterior and interior fit and finish......

I dont think it looks bad.....if it makes you feel better I can take some pictures of some different spots on my car ......but when I hit the loud pedal I could care less if panel gaps are off by 1/8 of an inch exc.
