There is one facet about Mustangs which defy the norm, and that is a preference for darker colors. Over the whole automobile industry, White at 25% is the most popular, with Black at 22% a close second. These are followed by Gray at 18% and Silver at 10%, and typically in shades towards the lighter hues. Mustang owners so it seems, go for darker, almost sinister hues.
From a personal (and different) point of view, window tints follow the aforementioned preferences. This apparent fact also plays out in dark license plate covers. It is as if Mustang owners are trying to hide from law enforcement!
What's odd about this information, is the percentage of Mustang owners who have had at least one traffic citation; they're barely in the top 25 nationally. Dodges, Subarus, Nissans, and luxury SUVs hold the top spots. Sure makes me wonder!
