Has anyone had their Oil Filter changed or changed themselves? The owners manual calls for a FL-2127 which I cannot find locally. I have not contacted the dealer, they were closed when I started trying to find one.

There is a lot of conflicting info online stating a FL400, FL500, or FL910 would or would not work but Im not one to chance sticking something else on.

Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback, Ive got one of those from my old GT but Im not sure if it will fit the 2.3, I was hoping to hear from someone who has changed the oil or taken it to be changed at the dealer and has an invoice. I posted this in the 2.3 section but will change the Thread title as like me Im sure most don't realize the forum section.

Im guessing the local dealer will have a FL2127, was just wondering if like most FL’s theres another option that may be a little longer etc. Thanks for the replies.

I changed my Ecoboost oil a week ago and used the FL-2127 filter. I got it from my local dealer... something like $8. I have read that the FL-500 will fit, but I have to beleive that there is a reason that Ford specified the 2127. Something must be different besides physical size (the 500s is longer).

I used the larger 500s one on my old ecoboost, i think its just a bigger and maybe better filter? but it fits and you can use it. more capacity in the filter is usually my preference on all my cars and bikes. I find my oil doesn't stay nice for long on my motorbike when im using the stock yamaha small filter. When i go to the K&N larger 50% larger, filter it seems to keep oil nicer for a thousand or so miles longer.
