I’ve read a number of posts from other locations wrt use of catch-cans on turbo engines, particularly on the 2.3 turbo’s.

Has anyone else read about such devices? Which one is recommended?

Are they a good idea for long term life of the 2.3?

self draining catch cans are sufficient and better. I had a mishimoto one on my car and the location was a SOB as you lose skin off your knuckles each bloody time and the catch can develops a thin coating of super slippery oil each time you handle it even if you clean it lol...

you would check it after 2 months and nothing, like a table spoon, then 2 months later its like half full etc. lots of maintenance. if you're using it as a track weapon, sure... but otherwise self draining unit for the win

Ford has not produced one for the 2024 as of yet. Hundreds of opinions on whether you need it, guess it depends on your use but I cant see it hurting at all.
