No rub on that 305/30?!?!?!? I'm running the 305/30R19 right now and not sure whether there is half an inch more available (that's what she said)
Slight rub on driveways or turns. Depending on tire you run Michelin Sport cup2 did not rub

I would like to lower my car but I’m concerned I’m gonna bottom out on everything. Any recommendations on lowering springs that won’t bottom out?
Yeah, honestly, they can look cool, but I can't understand how you all do it. With my NYTOP splitter, which isn't hugely long, it's very easy to scrape a bit pulling into driveways or parking garages or on uneven road construction, and I'm on stock PP springs. If I dropped an inch down, I'd hit something and break it. Maybe Seattle just has worse roads than the rest of you.

Let me know if I can assist our Steeda Minimum Drop, Dual Rate & Progressive Springs are all solid upgrades & we have some great savings to be had!

@tj@steeda @gregrarnold - how are the Steeda dual rates on a daily driver? Any difference in height drop compared to the Progressive Springs?

I know if lowering I will scrape the belly pan on some of the speed bumps near my house if I forget to take them at an angle, but does a bit of belly rub actually cause anything other than superficial damage?

The worst kind of speed bumps near me for my Mustang (which ironically I like in an SUV, as no slow down is needed) are those ones that are just a mound that the tyres will actually straddle either side, but every time I go over them in the Mustang I hold my breath and mostly slow down and actually roll one side of the car over them. So I guess they work when it comes to slowing down sports cars but are useless vs every other type of car - and it's not like the SUV drivers don't need slowing down too!

The Steeda Dual Rates are actually really good for a daily driver (our owner & head of manufacturing both DD them). They ride slightly firmer than the Progressives, but not in a harsh or crashy way, they are more controlled, less float, and better support in quick transitions. They are

Ride Height Difference:
  • Dual Rates: sit a touch higher, roughly ⅛–¼ inch difference depending on model year and trim

So if scraping is already a concern, the Dual Rates are the safer choice.

Shoot me an email & I can have Scott provide his DD feedback & if he has any obstacles he has to avoid as a DD.

Couldn’t have said it better. Those dual rates dropped my car almost 1” at all 4 corners. I run 19” wheels still and car sits perfect for what I wanted. No negatives whatsoever, quiet, more control, slightly stiffer but by no means harsh or uncomfortable. I drive my car as a toy and run it hard, it’s my work commuter on nice summer days to play on highway.

As for ride height, it’s a pretty low car to begin with, mine’s a DH with the bigger front valance. Speed bumps I approach carefully, including the apron of my own driveway. And a jack gets slightly more challenging. Jacking rails solved that problem. Other than that, all upside! You won’t be disappointed.

Added a picture of my DH next to a buddies stock GT500 for comparison.
