How in the heck do you turn on steering assist on 2024 GT Premium?

I can bring up “driver assistance“ on the main screen in front of the driver, but it gives me no opportunity to scroll anywhere to see the options. I do have ‘lane assist’’ on…but I have found no way to turn the small steering wheel icon next to Park green. I’ve even gone to the middle/right screen and searched for steering assist and have not found it…….TIA for your guidance here…..

Maybe not, but it certainly has a little steering wheel icon on the dash just begging to be turned green. Upon activation?

In the owners manual p 221-227 goes into detailed instructions on this. In the vehicle settings you can have it all turned off, have it where it alerts/rumbles the steering like rumble strips, or whether it actively turns your steering wheel to keep you in your lane. The functions are set-up in the SETTINGS In the center screen so that the system performs like you desire when you turn them on/off using the buttons on the steering wheel.

After reading your questions I get the feeling that you have not reviewed this in the owners manual. If not it is important to download the manual so that you can review the detailed instructions for this and many other things.

IF he is talking about: Ford BlueCruise is a hands-free driving feature for highways that assists with steering, acceleration, and braking while keeping the vehicle centered in its lane.

Mustangs do not have. I’ve provided all of the info that I can!

OK guys……thank you for all a your input……….I guess I thought that a 2024 Mustang with Co-pilot 360 would have steering assist, as our 3 year old Hyundai does…..and it cost a LOT less, you know?

I'm still confused. What do you mean with steering assist? And why do you want the steering wheel icon turn green? What should your car do when the icon is green? Take the wheel over and drive you like a Tesla from A to B?

The Mustang has lane keeping assist. It keeps the car in your lane.

The Mustang has lane centering assist, it keeps the car centered.

The Mustang has a steering wheel mode, which you can set to comfort, sport etc. and you will see a steering wheel icon on your dash.

So if you refer to that steering wheel icon, than that icon is to show what steering wheel mode you are using.

After this response I still don’t have a clue what functionality you are searching for. Please describe, exactly in more detail what you are wanting the car to do. Give sone details rather than just steering assist repeatedly!!!!
