how do you control yourself from speeding?

hello all, let me start this off by saying i have never in my 31 years of living owned a car let alone a fast one(always had trucks). how do you guys keep yourself in check while on the highway? i find myself putting the exhaust in track mode and listening to the sweet sound of American power and it's becoming too addicting and I'm afraid it will catch up to me very quickly.

I know what you mean @jdkoep. I keep it tame on the areas I know where the cops are. On the 2 lanes in the mountains I let her rip. Agree 100% with you on the beautiful sounds that come out of that Coyote and the instinctive need to let her eat. Find a good back road where the cops don't put up speed traps. Avoid the main roads...and have fun!

You have to have some fun with the car, just keep it safe. Open road.. no weaving in traffic.. but let the beast breath from time to time. For peace of mind I invested in, which has so far worked very well..

I don’t’. I live in AZ now. I get my rocks off on the on-ramps and feeder roads. Otherwise I just drive normally and set cruise to 80 on the highways.
Mostly the cops are happy I’m not going 150.
I got pulled over doing 23 over. Cop said he understood, having a powerful V 8 like that. He was glad I wasn’t DUI and let me go.
