I always liked your avatar picture, wondering if it shows you just having lost grip upon trying to pull the train.
But now I think it was the last moment before it ran over you and maybe the last moment before you became an internet troll. 😜

Btw, why don't you sue Ford for selling a car to you with a feature being advertised that isn't there?
I never said it wasn’t there, i may have implied it may not be what it is assumed. 😉

He's not trolling, he's just dumb
Y u b like that? Too smart to make it understood? Unable to demonstrate evidence or won’t accept that the earth aint flat cuz never saw anyone fall off the edge? If all we’re doing is pitching words back-and-forth where’s the verification signal? I mean how does one know the noise one hears is the noise the other claims is disabled? Is the ghost cam simply a .wav?

The EB vido shows that the sounds are played through the speaker without the engine running -> proof they are fully artificial.
Their frequency is linked to RPM, maybe in steps as the video shows, or continuously.
Highly likely that its volume depends also on the engine load (torque) and/or what the ANC mics inside the cabin catch as noise level.
I'm not Einstein, but think my university degree in mechanical engineering is not needed either to say it's safe to assume that this is how it works.
Any idea how they made that Ecoboost video? How do you get the fake sound to run when the engine is not running?

Where is anyone claiming to hear ESE sounds while it's turned off?
Only post I remember is a guy stating it is turned off without himself having done it.
He didn't say he's hearing it.

Ok, so I read it, but I do not know what 5-Way Map Switching is, so it does not mean much to me.

They are figuring out how to manipulate different engine mappings (like track, sport etc.) as performance tuning measures.
So they dig deep into the electronics of the car and found by accident sort of a so called developer mode to test the ESE functions.

Still waiting for tuners to be able to load custom gauge clusters. It's running on Unreal Engine, how hard could it be?

So here’s what I have absorbed so far.

There’s 2 factors in play:

Active Noise Cancellation: Possibly why the exhaust seems so muted inside the cabin?

Electronic Sound Enhancement: Giving the exhaust a deeper tone?

OK, do I have any of this right?
Both are confirmed in the programming, but that could also be artifacts from the Ecoboost ECU. In the GT, disabling them in Forscan seems to have made a difference. But no microphones have been listed in the GT diagram. Microphones are needed for ANC, but ESE can just be artificially produced with the engine off like the Ecoboost video. I put my ear right to the stereo speaker and can’t detect any artificial noise. Not very scientific, but ears is all I have….lol.

Oh yeah…

Well, why is that not important empirical evidence?

You are testing whether there is anything to listen to by, well, focusing on listening.

Important question: Your car shows the number "1" and not "0" in the correct place? I mean, if it is "0," then you should expect to hear nothing, correct?
