Had the car less then a week.... Some issues I've noticed.

I love the idea, but I honestly just want a brand new car - clean slate. I want to know the entire history of the car start to finish, ya know.

I'm incredibly picky with how I drive/treat my cars because I've seen what neglect does to even a good car, something as simple as not changing the coolant on time, or not letting the oil warm up completely before putting load on an engine. It's pretty much the only thing I'm a control freak about in this world, hahah.

I've seen a whole lot of cars as a mechanic, as well as the owners. Not a knock on you, but a used car with an unknown (to me) history is just not in my cards right now. I already have a used car and paid the price for it (I had to put another engine in it due to previous owners negligence).

With that being said, S550 Mach 1 is an absolute gem of a car, and I would be lying if I said I wasn't thinking about it before putting an order on an S650

You are a certified freak. And I mean that in the worst way possible. Yikes.
yeah, wait what. This went completely over my head while scrolling the thread

That's a good name for it, a "canoe" you'll be the little man in the boat. He he 😁🎇🎆💙👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😇. I sometimes call it a 🌮.
I meant a literal canoe. Like, on the water.

Oh. This Mach 1 I'm picking up has less than 5000 miles on it. Loads of them are for sale with such miles. Last year's GT leftovers of December 24 and January 25 were marked down $3000. Ecoboosts we're $2000 less. And a 50 mile radius of Houston had lots of Dark Horses. This year is not so good. But for some reason people don't drive their Mach 1s and Dark Horses very much, and are garaged. Not us, we commute with them and even go out on barbecues on weekends. We even want to set them up to tow jet skis.

I'm sure I'll get a build date for my car soon, so I'll be holding out for that.
Who knows what's in-store for next year's Mustangs, or their pricing. Going to have to wait and see.

I already got a price for my car and everything. I'll be pissed if they build it and then tell me I have to pay 5K more, lmao

I'm debating on ordering one. My daughter's wedding day is two years off, so I'll have to wait and see. A Performance Package and Active Valve exhaust is the basics needed. Sound system could be upgraded aftermarket.

I'm different, I'll call up Ford and see what can be done about getting an update, "if" I need one. You can sit around on your butt, but I'll take action and see that it gets done.
You'll call up Ford? They can't tell you squat about outstanding OTA updates for your truck. They are glorified secretaries answering the phone.

Sit around on my butt? LOL.

I've literally been updating the modules in my Ford vehicles using the same FDRS (Ford Diagnostics and Repair System) the dealer techs use and a J2534 VIC for years! I don't wait around for OTAs.

I was literally one of the first owners to enable BlueCruise 1.4 in a 2021 Job 1 F150.

Sit around on my butt?:crackup:

We've been doing this stuff, checking on OTA update statuses for HUNDREDS of owners, and documenting various findings for YEARS.

I already explained how there are forum members with access to the appropriate Ford systems that can take your VIN and tell you EXACTLY what module updates are waiting for your truck to pick up (and confirm when one you want is not yet released for it).

Why is this so hard for you to comprehend?

Your dealer should honor your order price on the DOR, incentives/rebates either at the time of order or at the time of delivery (whichever is better), unless and until it gets moved to a 2026 MY build. If the latter happens, nothing carries over. You are, of course, under NO obligation to purchase it at any time. I certainly hope you did not give them a non-refundable deposit.

Gotcha gotcha.

i highly doubt it would carry over onto 2026. If it does, might just say screw and buy a ‘13 GT500

Holy hell, man. Facts and reality much? I share the facts, and I don't sugar coat facts so 'fee-wings' don't get hurt. If you don't like the facts, I can't help you.

Claiming that the OTA process on your car is "broken" because you push the button and expect it to update like a cell phone CLEARLY shows that you don't know what you're talking about (not you, but in general).

Ego?

Your dealer would need to resubmit the order for 2026. I'm just saying that all your price protection, incentives and rebates go out the window with a MY carryover.
