Has anyone had the issue with their car getting around 25-30 mi until empty and then it just rapidly drops to 0?
For a variety of reasons. you should not let your tank get that low before filling up. Worst case, I refill at 1/4 tank.

Never know when a major power outage will hit, if you'll get stuck in bumper to bumper traffic due to whatever reason, or if something happens and there's a run for the pumps by society.

I always like to keep mine near full.

I definitely do that with my F150 and its 36 gallon tank.

Don't like the fuel pump much?(keeping it submerged helps keep it cool). My wife always drove our S197 down to that level, and then only put $20 or so in it, and it started having fuel pump problems later in life. Hope you don't run it that low on the track... or maybe you were just being facetious.😁

dunno how much cooling its doing when the fuel gets heated up in the Arizona sun, where it can get to 120+ degrees outside in the peak of summer. when doing autocross, i always fill up before leaving, regardless of fuel level. i also always fill up 100% and dont leave the fuel station until its full. i guess ill see when the vehicle is older what issues pop up with it

Less fuel in the tank means that the concentration of the "dirt" inside the tank that's mixed with your fuel is higher. This can lead to fuel pump issues, and also spark plug issues. Best is to fill up after 50% but 25% is good as well.

it's because you're driving either downhill or uphill and the gas gauge is being fooled.

Every car I have driven that has had this feature is unreliable below 1/4 tank. So, I always fill at 1/4 tank. My 24 stang is no exception.
Same. All my cars are inconsistent when its below the 50 miles left mark.
