what cold psi?
If you're feeling the vibration in the steering wheel now, it's going to degrade over time/miles. It is not going to improve by itself.

That sucks you still have issues with your new shoes. If it bothers you enough, maybe try yet one more place to balance them and see if it helps. it's no fun making a mod that makes the car feel worse.

good luck!
Thank you! The car doesn’t feel like it’s affected by it, so I wouldn’t say it’s even noticeable. My ocd wants it resolved though!

Currently 35 cold.

It’s a very small visible vibration when letting go of the wheel, no vibration felt when hands are on, nor is it shaking my hands

It is vibrating very slightly at or around 50 mph and goes away after exceeding 70. It is noticeable with no hands present on the wheel. When my hands are on the wheel, I don’t feel anything that is an abnormal vibration. I would film it with my phone, but honestly the camera can’t even pick it up.
Vibration at specific speed is almost always a balance problem. Im really sorry your having to deal with that. If they are having to use a lot of weight, that usually indicates a wheel problem. Unfortunately there is no easy solution here, without switching tires on the same wheels and trying to eliminate one or the other. 😕

I honestly do think it has something to do with the wheel, the one has a long strip of weight on it. I appreciate it though, this has really been a headache. He told me to give it a day and drive it around for a little while because it may need to settle, but I haven’t heard that advice before and I’m not sure anything will change

A couple of questions the answers I might have missed in this thread.

1. The stock/factory rims and tires were fine? No vibration?

2. The vibration occurs at ~ 50 MPH ?

3. Do you feel it in the steering wheel or your butt?

4. If you let go of the steering wheel at 50 MPH, or when it's vibrating do you see any movement of the steering wheel?

5. When it's vibrating if you ever so lightly touch and hold the brake pedal down, does the vibration get worse or better? Again, just enough to barely engage the brakes.

If it were me and the stock wheels are fine, I would send the replacements back and get something else. You are going to drive yourself crazy chasing this bug instead of enjoying your Mustang.

1. Yes, stock/factory rims and tires were fine, no vibration.

2. The vibration/shake occurs from 50 mph to about 70 mph.

3. The vibration/shake is not felt from the wheel or the seat, it is a visible vibration/shake when you take both hands off the wheel. Nothing abnormal is felt.

4. Yes, this is the only time the movement occurs, and again, it is very slight- to the point my camera wouldn’t pick it up.

5. I have not tested that, but I can and then update.

I agree, but I will point out that just because he feels the intensity of the vibration most at that speed range doesn't mean the vibration isn't there at other speeds and not noticed.

Yup. These kinds of problems will make your hair turn white or pull it out in frustration.

Have you spoken to Steeda about your concerns? They are very helpful on these forums and I’m sure they would help you isolate the issue. You can tag TJ and he’ll be here in a flash.

Here is a video, but I think it may be hard to tell.

Going to call discount again in the morning and let them know it hasn’t been resolved.

Can't really tell anything by the video. Make sure you get pictures of the weights they using to show steeda.

You might also ask discount if they can balance another tire on the rim with the most weight to see of it makes a difference in balance. If the answer is no, then you have a warranty claim for Steeda.

Thank you for the help.

I’ll leave the pic of that wheel here as well

OK, Got it. Well, when it's clear where the problem lies. Hit them up.
I still recommend getting the tires shaved. Smoothest ride I’ve ever had. Shouldn’t be too expensive. May solve the problem. Will eliminate the “tire out of round” issue. Tire could still have an imperfection. Nothing to lose by shaving & may solve the problem.
