Ford pass stopped working

Hi

my ford pass app stopped receiving updates from the car for 1 week then it started working for 1 day and now its been 2 weeks with no updates at all and i can't use it

what i tried is deleting the app
Reset the middle screen
Factory defaults for the middle screen
Reset the sync from the screen

nothing worked from the above anyone got an idea how to fix it?

It might be a low battery condition on the car. Charge the battery and see if it fixes it. You may also want to check your connection settings inside the cars infotainment.

It might be unrelated, but just recently, the FordPass app was updated to just be the Ford app. It might have started working at the car modem side of things, only for the app to not connect properly, because... IT.

Here's what I had to do.

I had issues with the App update by Ford also. With my iPhone. IOS 26

1) I couldn't login, I deleted the Ford Pass app and reinstalled the latest. Ford app,
2) When trying to open the latest app on the phone I would get an error message saying something like JAVA script needs enabled. Turned on JAVA now I had the Login Screen.
3) Tried logging in with existing account and password, this attempted to login but all I got was the spinning symbol for a long time. Would not login. Tried several times.
4) Finally went online with home computer, to Ford.com, My existing password was no longer recognized. Had to use existing account name and use forgot password. Filled in email address to get change password from ford email. Changed password with computer. Logged out.
5) Tried login on iPhone with new password, Couldn't login.
6) Took a break from the frustration

Finally, an hour or two later, I could login with the existing account name with the new password.
Both of my ford vehicles were in the new Ford pass app.

Possibly there was a delay on Ford's end once the Password was changed.

What do you want to bet that
they changed the password -requirements- and yours didn't meet the new standard and got automatically expired?

I get this frequently from banks, vendors, hell even my web hosting provider does it and will not allow me to set my own password standards - which is rather infuriating.

All because someone bent the knee to kiss the security auditor's ring. It's getting to be more and more of a PITA to transact online.

I have ordred a battery charger should I hook it up to the battery directly ? it is my first time using one

Connect the negative cable for the charger here (circled in red) and not directly on the terminal. If you go directly on the battery post, it will bypass the BMS sensor and mess the BMS data.

today it started working after using the car for few days so most likely is the battery like @AZ_Ryan said

I charged the battery today it took around 20mins to fully charge and I left it on the charger for 1.5 hour but still the ford pass is not working

anyone have idea what i can try to fix it?

in the ford pass no it will only show the last update
I will check in forscan tomorrow after work if there any codes

Yea, I meant with FORScan or a code reader. Check for any codes in the TCU or GWM that can be atributed to connectivity issues.
