I ordered this and there seems to be a large gap on the bottom where they say to put the adhesive. It seem mostly attached with the double sided tape.

Anyone else experience the same issue?
I was a bit unsure where they wanted the bead of adhesive by their instructions as well. After a few dry fittings and feeling around, I determined that the adhesive had to go directly beneath tape (very slight groove there) in order to make contact with the original splitter. Once it was dry I was going to go back from underneath and try to fill-in some adhesive, but could feel that it made good contact between the two with out the need for filler.

Thanks for the replies. They really should revise the instructions.

Unfortunately I put the bead where they instructed(should have run my fingers through on a dry fit). I did add some of the glue into the tight spots after it was on and it seems pretty solid.

YEa mine was the same the tape even after cleaning the little factory trim piece slipped after making sure it was on came out to find some weird gapping. I had to pull it off and remove the dam adhesive. TOo much gap on the bottom could have been designed better for the price. Its currently sitting on a workbench in my shop. Decided to get the feral industries one as it bolts on.

I've had mine on for 6 months, weekly trips thru the car wash, and it looks good and fits well.

I have the Performance Pack on my GT, so I had to find a base-model splitter on E-bay first. I had the dealership swap the OEM splitters, then install the Air Design.

They weren't too thrilled with how loose it felt, so at their suggestion I let them re-mount it with some better adhesive they had. It's quite solid now.

That being said, this is ABSOLUTELY the splitter that belongs on this car! It goes OVER the base splitter, instead of under it (like most aftermarket offerings), so it looks super-clean and natural. Not too big. Nicely sculpted. No manufacturer labels. Perfect!

I'm getting my car wrapped right now, so I don't have any pics for you yet, but apart from installation issues, I love the Air Design. Who wants my OEM Performance Pack splitter? (You'll need to retain your base model mounting screws... I don't have any extra mounting hardware).

I installed the spoiler. Only holding on with 3M tape and silicone. So far, holding. I chose it because I wanted more than stock, but not too much so I needed to worry about curbs. Yeah it does have flex but holds. I did add a small bead of included silicone to the very ends at each wheel well to prevent side flexing. Overall happy with my choice.

I have had it since April. I used just double sided tape and then secured it by the fender liner on each side with a Christmas tree push pin
