Experience with Recaro seats?

I wanted them, then the dealership told me to sit in the Mach 1 they had with them and I didn't order them. We are all built a little different, so I would recommend, like many others have already said, sit in them and see if they are comfortable for you and don't forget your partner to make sure they are comfortable in the passenger side!

Same here. I'm 6'1" 195 lbs and I initially wanted the Recaro seats but after the dealer had me try out another Mustang with them I bailed. They are nice seats, just not for me.

I had the power seats in my S550 and the Recaros in my S650. I bought the Recaros because I go to the track.
I am impatient so I prefer manual seat adjustments because it's faster. Power seats are sooooo slooow

$1995 up charge and you lose the heat, cool, lumbar and power. I drive on long road trips and find the stock seat very comfortable. I love the look of Recaro seats but not at that price.

Bizarre, but we still get the power adjustment for the Recaro seats in Europe.

Ford must have cheaped out on the US Mustang Recaros.

I had them in my 2013 Focus ST and my 2016 Focus RS. The ST seats were manual/no heat/cooling. The RS's were powered and heated (no cooling). Both were leather with Alcantara seat and back inserts. If I'd ordered my GT it definitely would have Recaros. I actually "prefer" manual adjustment, and I wouldn't miss the heating/cooling that much.

A big "no" for me. Some would have everyone believe they're necessary for track use of the car. I don't believe that considering my experience.

I don't like the looks, they aren't comfortable for me, lack electronic controls, and look like an after-thought expecially for a ridiculous price over and above the cost of standard seats. I confirmed this when sitting in them. We're all made different and have different taste. Easy decision for me. I was only willing to put so much money into what is a Mustang. They can't be everything to all people and Ford put too much into trying to be that, price included.

I like the stock seats, they're a smidgeon wide for me being built for the average 'merican, but they still support quite well in the twisty's and they are bloody comfy.

I think the stock seats stuck on twisty roads.

I do auto cross and trips to places like Tail Of the Dragon .... I end up tensing up my left leg, for long durations, to brace myself because of the lack of seat support.

A lot of our roads have a Tail of the Dragon section, we're a very hilly country. I suppose they'll never design a seat that suits all our different shapes and sizes.

Recaros are meant for the track or regular back road racing.

If you aren't doing those things, then you're just paying 2k so you can brag that you have recaros with a sweaty ass and a sore back.

Are they comfortable for long trips? everyday use?

On one hand I like how looks and the other hand I think I could miss the climatization.

You can never go wrong with Recaros. Extremely comfortable with great lateral support. Expensive... but worth every penny... presuming you like the aesthetics.

I'm not sure which Recaros you've owned, but I've owned many (talking about OEM seats, not aftermarket track seats)... and everyone including myself think they are extremely comfortable. I especially loved the Recaros in my EvoX (most comfortable car seat I've ever sat in).

Go to a dealer and sit in a car with the Recaros. You'll definitely want them.
