How likely is the chance that I can just buy the mirrors with turn signals and get it to work with my Premium GT? From the information I found, the harness that I have inside my vehicle supports turn signals.
If you can get your hands on the wiring diagram, you know what you need to look for (pin numbers, wire colours etc.)

I think there is a possibility that some wires are already there.

You need to measure from the plug for the mirror in the door to the plug on the BCM, to be sure.

I've sent an e-mail to that website you recommended me. Used Google translator to write it in German and below I placed the original English text. In Germany you never know who speaks English and who doesn't haha.

I hope they can help me out and inform me about how to get turn signals on my car.

I would expect they can at least offer a full service for everything, incl. TÜV.
Or maybe there is a way in between.
Because you need also some paperwork for the whole process, that can not be provided by Ford. (i am not totally into this, but know something...)

Means, you are not from Germany but you will move to Germany and register the car there the first time in EU?

I don't need the TUV luckily. My car goes with me back to The Netherlands as a moving object. So the inspection is less frustrating than regular import.

The only thing I need to add are the fog lights and turn signals. No other homologation needed.

Awesome. Thank you for your service. I will also have 23 years of service in May. I am ending it there though, it isn't fun anymore. Personally if I was in that position I would probably just store the Mustang stateside and buy the local "hooptie" and beat on that while I am there and sell it to the next guy on my way out the door and come back to a pristine Mustang.
Congrats man! So the problem with storing is I might not come back. I truly enjoy living overseas, can do a tour in Germany and then direct hire as a gov staying there for a total of 10 years.

What is real sad is the Recaro seats in the Camaro came with power, heated and cooled Recaro's. With the prices they are charging for the Mustang you think we could have the same but nope Ford is all about the profit and do not even care to offer something the customer would love.

If I was technical, maybe I would go the full route, but for my concern, I only want to add the turn signals on the side mirrors.

Looking at the wiring diagrams; the cars with memory seats actually have driver's door and passenger door control modules... all of the wiring to the mirror comes from there. On cars without memory seats, all of the mirror wiring comes from the respective module; BCM for turn signals and puddle lamps, IPMA for BLIS, etc. The wiring diagrams show the mirrors wired for turn signals from BCM, just can't say if that wire gets omitted without signals actually in the mirror... I would say chances are good that the wire is there... if checking inside the door, look at mirror plug terminal #3 for a wire; grey/orange on driver side and green/orange on pass side. A voltmeter or test light could be used to see if it is live with the turn signal on.

I have no idea what a mirror plug terminal 3 is. Do you mean the door harness where the side mirror is plugged in to?

Thanks. Maybe the best thing to do is ask for a picture of the harness from the dealership or something to see if the wire is there.

I just looked up the harness from the S550 just as a reference to understand.

I know that the Premium S550 comes with turning signals and the base without it and I found these 2 connectors.

1 has 3 wires (Base Mustang) and 1 has 5 wires (Premium Mustang)

I have no idea what a mirror plug terminal 3 is.
On most (but not all) connectors, pin 1 ist numbered (very tiny) on the housing.
If you take a picture of your connector, it can be figured out.

Same for the BCM btw.

With this info (both pins there for each door) next step would be to measure electrical continuity between both, to confirm.

Looks like may be same plugs/pins used. Pins 1, 2 & 4 control mirror direction, 3 & 7 are turn signal + & - respectively. Time to pull the door panel and look...

Yeah that's the thing. I can't pull the door panel until I take the car with me to Europe in a couple of months. I'm on a small Island whit no dealerships and no worthy mechanic that knows about these cars.
