I have recently been looking for some easy supporting mods to do on the S650 DH while I wait for the whipple to get here.

Landed on the BMR CB005 cradle bushing lockout kit. $200 and about an hour or so to install and it is for sure a noticeable difference in the rear end of the car with no noticeable NVH.

Super happy with the kit and the ease of install. Going to be installing front & rear sway bars once they come in.

What else should I do? Verticle links?

Shout out to Terry over at Beefcake racing for helping me out!

Ahhhh, adding parts for the sake of adding parts. I'd wait to add the Whipple then drive/ test the car (safely) to see how it responds to determine what, if anything, is needed beyond what you already have. The extra power is going to change the dynamics on how the car responds. Traction will certainly be reduced.

If I already know traction will be reduced why would I not try to address that in the interim? Seems silly to me.

Do you ever get wheelhop when driving the rear tires hard? If not, you've either not really pushed it or you have a magical unicorn Mustang. Wheelhop is proven to have detrimental effect on the rear end components of these cars. Better to fix the problem before than to amplify the problem by adding power.

I think might have heard something on the 3-4 shift and then a couple times on the 2-3 as well, might need another listen. What was the rpm 😁 yeah need another listen, that is, once the smoke clears.

Not my first rodeo or first Mustang. Been doing this for a long time and wasted plenty of $$$ over the years due to mod boredom and/or trial and error. I was blowing out the rear end of a 2011 GT from wheel hop at the strip before any of these solutions for the S197, S550, and S650 were made. I did not say that the OP shouldn't add these mods....he can do what he wants and they will likely help one way or another. However; adding a Whipple is a significant change. If it were me and...IMO..., I would wait until the Whipple is added to add any other "Stop the Hop", etc. types of mods. That way the OP can drive, test, and get a feel of the car post supercharging and get a better idea of what and where to spend their money. If the OP has endless funds, by all means.

the S550v2 chassis can't handle NA power, forget FA. CB005 is good start. I would skip the bars, and go install the Diff lockout/bracing, and the LCR bearing and so forth from the 'stop the hop' menu. Otherwise 'testing' that Whipple could end up shattering a few pricy bits.

Not sure what you are going on about….i didn’t ask a question or for an opinion about my mods, which I have no qualms to say that some were done out of wanting to tinker and liking the look. I know what’s in my signature and am quite aware as I typed it out. Car drives and handles great for a street car/ daily driver/ weekend mountain cruiser. Has been since the 6 months that this thread has aged.
