Waited until 11k miles. Car is stock except a Borla S-type cat back system.
Here are the results. I do not have dyne info before the exhaust installation.

91 octane. Temperature outside 20C , humidity bellow 50%. DynoCom 7500

amazing numbers! Gen 4 is fantastic thus far. Ford underrated these engines from factory for sure!

429hp

480hp stock, add 5hp for the Borla like you would get with the Active Exhuast

That's 11% drivetrain loss, so that's pretty close. Underrated by 3%? Remember a lot of S550/Gen 3 coyotes also dyno in the 410's and 420's

Dynocoms usually read a little high as well.

Correct me if I’m wrong, is there typically 15-20% drivetrain loss?

12-15% on a modern RWD car, not 20%. That would be more like an AWD car or an old RWD with a TH400 and a big converter. Drivetrains are a lot more efficient these days.

dynos are weird things - you can totally manipulate the numbers....

first part of my career I worked in the performance aftermarket- we had multiple types of dynos- forget the names but Mustang Dyno was 1 - the other you could create resistance/ more real world

I remember during open houses- we would show all the ways you could manipulate the results on a dyno pull ....and different brands of dynos definitely create different numbers....

I remember on cars making 300rwhp we could create 25-35hp swings in dyno results by just changing the way we dyno the car- hood up vs hood down- time of day- fan vs no fan - I forgot all of them - we also would see huge swings between the different types of dynos

We did it to show dynos are cool for tuning- but even for direct comparison - you could dyno a car in the morning - install parts- dyno again in afternoon and show no gains just because cars make more power in the morning air ....all sorts of crazy stuff

you cant compare dyno results on two different days- two different cities- exc exc exc

and definitely no 20% loss on a modern Mustang-- Ive seen GT350s dyno in the mid 460s which would mean 575hp lol

I know for IMSA, NASA, SCCA the standards for dyno are, Dynojet, Mustang, Dyno Dynamics, or Dynapack dynamometer. Adding, each organization their own specific rules for the dyno testing procedures.

I agree with Upacurb. Even consecutive runs result in different outputs even if the ambient is the same. Supposedly, the most accurate ones use an electro-mechanical brake and a calibrated linearized load cell. Unfortunately, these are limited in speed and power.

A specific issue arrises with the 10R80 equipped Eco-Boost Mustangs which do not have paddle shifters. Peak power is typically during 5th gear runs, thus programming the run up to keep the trans in 5th is difficult at best.

You're met with a surprise if you do keep it in 5th, as the RWHP approaches 312 HP. As a result, the rated 315 HP is a bit in question.
