Does anyone know what the widest wheel we can fit in the back of the S650 is?

I found a 20 x 11.5 wheel I like but could go to a 20 x 11.0 if need be. I'm wondering if the 11.5 would stick out of the wheel well too much as well. I don't care if it sticks out some at the bottom of the wheel well but I don't want it to stick out at the top of the wheel well. I'm pretty sure the Dark Horse wheels are 11.0 wide. Dark Horse pictures below for reference. I'm just looking for as much grip as possible out of the hole. Maybe I would be better going with a 19 x 11.0 or 19 x 11.5 and just use a taller tire if that is my goal.

Dark Horse handling package has 11" wide rear wheels. the Shelby GT350R and GT500 have 11.5" wide rear wheels. i have 12" wide rear wheels. it depends on offset, width, and tire sidewall

What are the details of your rear setup if you don't mind me asking? Could you share a picture or two?

I would love to see the inner clearance to the strut on the front wheels on some of your cars if possible!

Holy smokes!
Would you say thats like 2-3mm of space there?
not sure, but i can say it's definitely less than 5mm. it seems like the most backspacing for the S650 is 6.94" front, 8.31" rear without getting recklessly close to the shock/strut

Can you explain that?
I dont think I understand backspacing. Isn't the higher the number, the closer to the strut?
Stock GT backspacing is ~6.4" assuming 19x8.5 +43

i actually made a mistake in my post and have corrected it. backspacing is how far the back of the wheel is from the mounting surface, calculated as half of the wheel's width plus the offset. yes, the backspacing of a 8.5" wide wheel with +43mm offset would be 6.44". here's a helpful backspacing calculator

Many thanks!
it all makes sense with the new numbers now.
Not sure why my wheel vendor says my wheel choice would hit the strut.
Looking at
19x9.5 +38
19x10.5 +32
