I went my own way on the design and installation of a diff cooler. The pump and fan are standard fare from Summit Racing but the plumbing and wiring are unique. I wanted simple and effective. I placed the thermostat switch as close to the diff as possible. Most of the brass fittings were from Amazon. I'll start with link and upload more pics as I get time.

Some random images: The first image shows a tube splice union. That is where I will disconnect add a hose and use the pump to fill the differential from a jug. The thermostat switch bushing is how I will drain the fluid. I used a split nylon tube to cover the sharp edge of the bracket. I used fiberglass to insulate the brass adapter to reduce false low temperatures. all the brass, thermostat switch and relay came from Amazon.

Cool project. Is there a reason you decided pull the hot fluid thru the pump before the radiator? It may be better for the pump to pull it through the radiator first, so it doesn’t see hot fluid.

Great question. I had it the other way around at first and if you look closely at the pics you may see that. When I went to use the pump to fill the diff with fluid it was surprisingly slow. It took abut 45 seconds to move 1 quart. That pump is supposed to move 4- 8 quarts a minute. It is clearly design to push rather than pull so I switched it back. The pump is temperature rated 0-256F. The thermostat switch is set to 185F. Between that and the couple feet of tubing from diff to pump it should have plenty of safety margin to over-temp condition.
