Well it finally happened. I always thought the active performance exhaust tips on the S650 looked unfinished and cheap. Even more so than the base exhaust options. Most other cars I’ve owned fold the metal over or create finished caps around the pipe itself. With this exhaust it appears they just cut the steel pipe at an angle and called it a day leaving the edges sharp. Then as I was cleaning them got a nice cut on my hand like a giant metal paper cut. Be careful when you clean around the exhaust fellow owners!

still sounds great though :p
I purchased a set of Titanium Black tips before I took delivery of my car.
(It was a 2 year wait for us down under for those of us who ordered Sep 2022)

When I eventually got the car home, I was disappointed the exhaust tips were not sharp at all... I tried.

Absolutely no chance of cuts with a roll-formed opening.
Highly recommended.

It should have come out of the factory like this.
Chrome is so last century.

I'm sure you could find something similar on your side of the pond.

Those look great. How do those go on? They fit over the existing ones or do you have to cut the old ones off?

Lou, from Burg Design in Melbourne.
$329 + postage.

Current version may not be exactly the same, as some (more recent) photos depict more of a matte finish.

They were having issues with the paint at the time I got mine.
If you have a close look at my first picture above, you will see where the paint is absent on the unwrapped tip around the grub screw.
This didn't bother me, as it's not visible where it is.

They were talking about moving over to a powder coating... which would explain the matte finish.
Shiny black or matte black, it doesn't mater, ties in better with the black diffuser anyway.

I did an install video at the time.

They've been on for just over a year now with no problems, not coming loose, no nothing.
Very easy to wash.

Contact them.
