Here's another perspective from another 70 yr old car enthusiast. I've owned a number of performance cars over the decades (none as radical as your '55). My decision to buy a '26 Ecoboost convertable in Carbonized gray ... easy to look at, easy to drive, reliable .... how often will I be driving at either mine or the cars limits, do I need to get there first, (just not last), will my driving experience be diminished if I don't have this or that bolt on performance accessory, when I drive by, people will just see me in a convertable Mustang, I'm fine with that at this point in my life. Other than forum discussions, no one else will really care if I had a B&O stereo or a premium performance package. Reaching your twilight years ain't so bad afer all. Life is (can be) good!
