Has anyone actually put in a 2026 order?

I ordered a 2026 Ecoboost Premium Convertable 201A on July 14th, received the order confirmation from Ford the same day. I received a notice from Ford today (July 17th). The car is scheduled to be built on September 8th and I also received the VIN FWIW

Also ordered Ecoboost Premium Convertible 201a (on July 7). Received Ford confirmation next day. Wondering why I didn’t receive scheduling notice … hmmm …

The fine print explicitly states it's for existing 2025 dealer inventory and 2025 retail orders, so it's highly unlikely you'll see this applied to a 2026. You need to come into ownership/take delivery of the car before the first part of September is over.

With that last part in mind, even if it was available to the 2026MY, unless your 2026 build got mixed into the tail end of the 2025 blend you're probably not going to see the deal. It's best if you just search for a 2025 if you want to take advantage of this, IMO.

I'd start looking now if I were you. This event has generated a significant amount of interest. I was trying to lock down an example in Philadelphia and have it shipped to the Detroit Metro Area, but the dealership wasn't responding. I ended up grabbing one off of a local dealer's lot that was a very close spec, minus three things. While I was signing the documents, every single sales person in the building were receiving calls inquiring about purchasing or leasing a Mustang. And evidently had I not spoken for the one I now have in my garage, someone else would have, because I was told by the shuttle driver who picked me up that multiple people were asking about mine, not knowing I had already made the phone calls I needed to make to get it.

All that is to say, the examples with all the goodies are likely spoken for already, or will be soon. If you want something like AVE, MR, PP, or B&O, you'll need to find something that has the right combination and jump now.

eh, most likely will hold off for specific order on what I want then. Was hoping to take advantage of the money sitting in a HYSA instead of paying upfront.
