I received the below warning message this morning:

S650 Mustang Charging System Service Now W3sZCI0

As you can see the car only has 4,378 miles. Has anyone experienced this issue yet on the S650? Car is about 1.5 years old. Hoping it's just the battery. Will I be able to drive it to the dealership for service or should I have it towed?

I haven’t seen that but, you’re averaging 243-ish miles per month. How often are you driving and when you do drive, how long are you driving?

if you’re driving infrequently and then only short trips then chances are you aren’t driving far enough and long enough to charge the battery.

I don't drive much or that far, yesterday I drove for about 30-35 minutes total. It was 4 trips totaling probably 10 miles. I worry that the alternator is not charging the battery and if I do go for a drive today, the battery will run out and the car will turn off and I'll be stuck on the side of the road. Is that a risk?

A Noco Genius 5, will be the best $70.00 you spend on you car. Hard with it to the battery and use the use disconnect. I also only has less than 5K mile on my S650 after 1 1/2 year ownership.
Introducing the all-new GENIUS5, one of our most powerful, highest-performing, energy-efficient, and compact chargers yet. The GENIUS5 is a 6-volt and 12-volt battery charger, battery maintainer, and battery desulfator rated at 5-amps for lead-acid automotive, marine, and deep-cycle batteries, including flooded, gel, AGM, and maintenance-free, plus lithium-ion batteries.

One time in 2018 I washes and waxed my Raptor. It only took2.5, maybe 3 hours, but I was listening to the stereo the whole time. Next time out, after about 30 minutes I realized auto stop start wasn’t engaging. Sure enough the menu said not enough charge. That lasted another hour or so of driving before it began working again, on a near new truck with a healthy charging system.
You probably need a long drive.

Normal if you don't drive that much. This car eats a lot of battery when standing still compared to my VW.

Use a battery maintainer to keep it healthy.
Cars these days are one big computer. Even when the car is off some computers keep working.

Here is the readout when just sitting idle. I didn't drive it yesterday, only started.

You need to charge your battery and then start the testing.

Ofcourse your battery is low at this point and it will not get better if you don't charge it.

I'm going to go an extended drive today and see if that rectifies the problem.

You really need to fully charge it instead of only driving it. I had the same issue when receiving the car. The extended drives didn't get the battery to fully charge, but keeps it at a level of operation. The main issue on your side is you don't drive that car that much, so you need to fully charge it first.

Mine said that after sitting all winter. It did go away after a nice drive.

However, I agree with everyone's advice to charge it , and get a battery maintainer.

I read that the Auto start stop cars have a bigger battery, which mine has. Not sure if its true or not. If it is , that is probably the only reason mine started after sitting all winter. It barely turned over.

Be careful if you go for a drive , and it may be your alternator. You may be getting towed. It should read higher than 11.5 when running, even with a dead battery, imo.

Unfortunately I park in a garage and don't have access to power.
