Good Day All,

At 65 I'm a total newbie to the convertible experience and in the market for my reliving my muscle car days in retirement.

So management aka the wife says we have to get the space grey interior that looks kind of white, seen in person.

i live in Western Maine say about a 30 minute drive to Mt Washington in NH so I really don’t get the temps some of you do.

I'm hoping to take advantage of MY25’s on the lot to drive a decent deal being one MY old and the majority are black interiors.

Just looking for some real world experiences and thoughts.

Thanks

John

I have had black and gray convertible experiences. In Maryland and North Carolina, so "hotter" that your area but Gray/Tan/White is the way to go.

My current ride is the gray.

Thanks. My wife likes the Space Grey and Magenta combination is nice as do I. Do you think the Space Grey looks kinda white?

Yes, it is very light gray. But next to white you can see it is not white - if that makes sense.

Space Gray is anything but white. Other than that, it's your personal taste.

White would look way more in your face. The space grey is a pleasant shade. The secondary color gives it a sport feel. No buyers remorse here.

Those space grey seats are nice. I had a dark leather convertible Prowler. Those seats cooked on a hot sunny day.

My wife and I ordered a '26 convertible with the Space Grey leather as we didn't want black leather either. The seats in our minivan are tan leather and still get hot if they're in the sun, so I can imagine black is much worse.

So I have a 2013 F150 with black seats and live in SC, Summer sucks. I got the dark red and black seat on my 24. It was not bad this summer even on the really hot 100+ days. I do use AC seats all summer. My 04 mustang had tan seats and they got pretty warm. cooled seats not an option in 04.

Whatever your selection, you can also read up on and look into shops which install ceramic tint. The material can be purchased in differing ratings, from limo tint to something that appears factory. A key feature in all of them is the blocking of UV rays. Some installers use heat lamps in examples to display the reduction in heat.

I had Space Grey in an auto, and now Black in a 6 speed. There's a lot of Grey in Space Grey. I thought the white would be sharp, but there just isn't enough white like my old 2006 Dodge Charger RT that was all white. Go with Black-or even Red if it's appropriate.

I'm 62 and got my first ever convertible in June - welcome to the club. Race red with the black interior (bough off the lot). We had a hot, sunny summer. Couldn't have asked for better weather. I was amazed on how the black seats didn't get nearly as hot as I thought they would in the sun. Easy to maintain and live with. The two tone interiors do look VERY nice. Enjoy!
