True, mine was included with 401A on my 24. I certainly would not add it for $1100Does a decent job. Not the best but I have heard worse.
This is my strategy for the center: Kenwood eXcelon KFC-X3C. I already ordered the 2-pack and will be putting the other unit up for sale. That’s the mod I did. The center speaker is much more “punchy” now.
Getting the B&O allows you to upgrade its incredibly lame subwoofer. I know Mustang smaller doors limit the mid-woofer size to 6.5 inches, but still Ford could do a better job for the money. In addition to my '25 GT, I own a 2016 Challenger RT and 2013 Charger RT Road and Track. Their Alpine, and Beats systems are excellent to the point where I wouldn't modify these very, very good sounding audios.Personal I think the B&O system is a HUGE upgrade over the regular stock system, especially in a convertible. I have rented convertible Mustangs for years with the factory system, and have to turn it up to 23 or 24 for so-so quality sound when top down driving at speed.
With the upgrade, I can hang around 15 and the sound is not washed out.
I guess it's all perspective.
I'm on my 10th Mustang convertible since '67--my first one was a '67--and I agree with Robert fully.Personal I think the B&O system is a HUGE upgrade over the regular stock system, especially in a convertible. in a post that I linked, someone from the mache forum explained why a 4 ohm isn’t necessarily bad if it has low sensitivity.Remember that the center speaker is 8 ohms.
Yes, just stating specs. Some of us used the following. A little harder to install because of magnet size, but slot the hole and use a washer on right mount.in a post that I linked, someone from the mache forum explained why a 4 ohm isn’t necessarily bad if it has low sensitivity.
I have the DH, the B & O is likely my least favorite option other than the satellite radio.sound
