I just ran my VIN on the Ford Australia recall website and it seems to come up clear, previously was showing up with the recall, guessing they must be fixing/updated the issue. I'll give my dealer a call for an update

Very excited for you! I wonder when the fix will get pushed down to dealerships. I just called mine and told them about your delivery and asked for an update and they still have no fix and are unaware that Ford even has one.
Im in the same boat as you, spoke with my dealer and they have no update other then a late January fix

I have received a recall letter from Ford Australia dated on 10 Dec stated that Software is not currently available to repair the vehicle. The software update is anticipated to be available 1st quarter of 2025. Further more they have stated that despite is this a safety recall as the car is not conforming to the Australia safety regulation, Ford has not issue instruction to stop driving the vehicle under this compliance recall. When the software update is available, I should make contact with the dealer to get this fix. 😖

My dealer rang me today to say that my vehicle has been cleared for delivery to the dealership. Should arrive there Monday. I plan on going down to check it out prior to the car being prepped for sale. If all is good then should be able to pickup next Friday! Some good news at last!!

Hi All, I got the call from my Ford Dealer yesterday. Car has arrived at the pre-delivery centre in Melbourne and the recall fix is being deployed there along with the detailing etc. to get the car ready for delivery, yay.

I have been offered Tuesday (17 Dec) next week as the earliest I can collect but likely will be collecting the car next Friday (20 Dec), when my family could come with me at the time of handover, super excited, can't stop smiling :)

Can I please seek thoughts on StealStopper Immobiliser ($1,595) the dealer is offering? Never heard of them and can't find online reviews about them. I am sceptical, but the dealer sales person is selling this highly. I am no expert, any guidance / advice would be much appreciated, thank you.
The car already has an immobilizer, why are they trying to sell you another one?

What state are you in, does has anyone had clearance on cars in NSW yet?

I would call my dealer but it's currently almost 5 in the morning. I'm calling right when they open to ask!

Ran my VIN as well, still has the recall information on both Ford website and NHTSA website (for Americans). Dealership still not familiar with the fix and told me to continue waiting. I wonder if Ford is fixing it at the manufacturing level and planning to push it down to dealerships soon??

I saw this on the aussie dark horse Facebook page, possibly cars that haven't been sent to dealers getting update first, if so this is so strange if it's a software update

Did anyone get any more news or updates on their cars today?
Nothing from my dealer but Ford Finance did contact me offering a loan and my VIN is no longer showing as impacted by a recall so I assume Ford has applied the fix to my car.

That's good, mine also isn't showing up on recall now. Thanks for your update.

Still showing as recalled on Ford's website for me but mine is already at a dealership and being held on delivery until it clears so it may still be clearing for the vehicles that haven't arrived to a dealer yet.
