FYI...
https://www.vehiclerecalls.gov.au/recalls/rec-006409
Of these 13 vehicles, there is 1 Mustang GT Fastback listed.
What are the defects?
Due to a manufacturing defect, the transmission main valve body may not meet engineering specifications. As a result, when the gear selector is placed into the reverse position the vehicle may fail to reverse and/or move forward inadvertently when placed into reverse or neutral position.
Note: The Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) and Wrench light will illuminate when the malfunction occurs.
What are the hazards?
If the vehicle fails to reverse and/or moves forward inadvertently, this could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants, bystanders and other road users.
What should consumers do?
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Ford Motor Company Australia asking them to schedule an appointment to have the vehicle inspected and work carried out, free of charge.
