drop what? All i mentioned was my regrats on getting the DH. For that price, an M2 is a better option. People have vivid conclusions here. With one clown insisting that im an economist.
Value how?
I cross shopped and test drove 2 M2’s before going with the new 24 Dark Horse Premium manual for $63k. That was base price of the new M2 as well 6mos ago.
I thought the M2 manual was rubbery and boring, as well as the way it sounded, boring.
So what if it’s a little faster… it’s really not that special dude!
I “value” V8 sound and an amazing manual transmission . Also cheap aftermarket.
You sound like a fool on here about the M2

i considered the m2 as well but figured the NA v8 would take the longevity crown. forced induction upgrades available if the v8 car became boring. and it sounds like a cup car.

That was my initial assessment. But sitting in the Mustang, you soon realize they cut alot of corners. And after washing and getting underneath it for an oil change even more corners were cut.

Please explain in more detail?
I’ve done multiple oil changes on my wife’s 22 X5 M-sport and multiple higher end mustangs and really don’t see blaring differences when I work on them.
I’ve also changed brakes, tires; and transmission fluids. Europeans do it one way and Americans another.
Don’t get me wrong; I do love my wife’s X5 and how it handles for a truck. Warranty up in 2 months and I’m scared!! lol

All I know about BMW's is, I've owned them and thank goodness, got rid of them before they exploded after the warranty was over which is about the time they need new bottom end bearings
Everything I needed to know about bmw I learned on Susten Pass when it lost the brakes coming into Andermatt.

No ragrets, interior is maybe the only part I miss of my M3(not that I dislike the DH interior). Sound, handling(yes, handling) and transmission the DarkHorse is better.

Good Lord, you pay that much for a car and can't afford to pay a Ford dealer or someone else to change your oil and filter?? You don't have enough money to own that car. You must be pretty skinny to be able to crawl under a Mustang, LOL!

I can afford to pay the dealer to do an oil change and I am NOT skinny but I do have a set of Race Ramps with extenders. Doing an oil change on my current C3 and my former Hellcat.

There is not a shop that I trust to do any work to my car. I cringe if I have to take my car in for warranty work or even a recall. I've come to find that there is just no one that cares about my car as much as I do.

I'm exceptionally fortunate to have a Ford dealer that does a perfect job on oil changes. For $35 labor, I'll let them do it with me buying my oil and flter off Amazon. In my car ownership experience, that situation is very rare. I'll enjoy it while I can and yes, I know how and am willing to get under my cars as needed.

Dealer Service changed my wife’s Lincoln oil a few weeks ago. They refilled 1 full qt. Short! I called and bitched….They sent out a mobile tech to verify the error and he put in the missing qt. I asked him how he changes oil as a mobile tech and he said he doesn’t siphon the oil out like many mobile techs do. He does it proper and I was impressed by his meticulousness.

So I’m saving my back and having their mobile tech come out and do my oil changes. I’ll be able to be right there and plan to tip generously for the care given.

Find a local dealer that has mobile techs and ask how they drain the oil. Mobile techs can also do tire rotations, software updates, and most things you would have to take it to the dealer for.

This thread just reinforces why I didn't want a Darkhorse. For me, it was a great decision. There was a brand new Darkhorse sitting on my dealer's floor they were anxious to get rid of when I ordered my GT..... 🤣
You should've worker harder for the DH. More overtime boy

Im hoping that it grow on me but dont think its gonna happen. It just crazy to think a DH cost as much as an M2. Really hard to justify that type of cash while sitting in the DH, where is the money going?
Bought my DH in early 2024. Just sold it a couple weeks ago. The financial loss didn't hurt me one iota.

If you can't afford to buy and sell a car, perhaps you should have chosen a better career path.
