I just received one recently from Amazon and, if it works to jump start a car, it's useful.

I got caught recently with a totally used up charge on my cell phone while driving (no, car didn't recharge it and wasn't in Mustang) and that is not a good feeling in this day and time. I checked with my geek SIL and he recommended a Yaberauto. It will charge a cell phone which is worth something and it will charge many other things. No larger than the unit is and for less than a hundred bucks, I went for it. It recharges easily overnight.

Being from Amazon, it can go back if not satisfied. The last time I jump started a car was a LONG time ago. Same with a flat tire. This thing has an air pump also.

Just wondered if anyone else uses something similar. Worth a flip, I don't know. May be good for cell ph. and computer if nothing else. Thanks, FD1

Yep, one would think Ford would be giving one of those away instead of that Mickey Mouse slime inflator unit. I took care of that too with a Modern spare tire.

I carry one in each of my vehicles. For jump-starting if necessary. I have not had to jump start my cars, but I have helped others and they did the job!

I keep one around. Very useful and easily starts a couple cars off one charge

I have carried one in both cars and the motorcycle for years. Have not had to use them once, but my motto is: Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

On a side note, my mustang was parked from December 23 to January 21. I got a notice from FordPass that it was in whatever the mode is that preserves low power when parked for a while. I thought that I might have an opportunity to use the jumper battery, but when I got in the car, it started right up. A pleasant surprise, and a win for Ford Electronics.

I have had a few, the newer lithium ion packs are handy, and have a USB port to charge electronics, but I have grabbed a jump pack only to find it discharged.

What I did buy, and it is a bit of overkill for those who are not in a shop or tow truck environment is a couple of the new Milwaukee Hot Shot jump packs that use the M18 batteries and are capacitor bank instead of battery storage. It does have a nice light built in and it has a USB port to charge electronics, and on a 8AH M18 battery I could probably charge a lot of phones.

I always have a charged M18 battery around so I never have to worry about it not being ready to go

The only downside from a shop side is that it will start almost any gas engine, but where it is capacitor storage if the alternator is smoked or there is another charging system issue, it won't allow a car to run to get it into the shop or on the back of a ramp truck.

It powers for 30 seconds then needs to be recharged and re-triggered to discharge

I also picked up a Milwaukee work light that also runs on M18 batteries, it has proved handy but it was stupidly expensive at just under $100 dollars, and that also has a USB port to charge electronics.

The jump pack part # is 3841-20

The light is PN 2359-20

But if you want a good jump pack at reasonable money, the JNC600 is a good choice in the sub $150 dollar range, and there are all sorts of options in the sub $100 price range for one of the lithium ion battery packs

I charge mine every 3 months or so just in case

The tool brand ones don't make sense to me. $200 for the jump starter, then you need to keep a $120 battery in it...

These things are a life saver. NOCO makes a solid product but they can be pricey. I have two of them that I've been using for about 5 years and they work and hold a charge like they're still new. So much more convenient and safe not having to connect two cars for a jump.
