I think you’re right. I hope ford eventually comes out with something more unique than the dark horse for their “reasonably priced” performance model. It’s a great car but it’s a Mach 1.1 in my eyes. Now a N/A 5.4 with a manual would be amazing but if it’s $110k+ it kills a lot of the excitement.

Unfortunately, even if it's a detuned 5.4 from the hypercar, they can charge 100+ with impunity since there's no competition.. i was hoping for a gt350 successor but with how ford killed everything with being so expensive, I'm just done with em as a brand.

The Corvette is priced well under $100,000 and is stout competition.

Exactly this ........and I love Mustangs but yeah at 140K plus for the track pack....I mean thats getting you into some very nice low tier exotic range such as NSX and Audi R8 V10

Old men with too much money want a 150K Mustang to say Shelby on it so they can brag to all their friends - not to mention I think people are going to get annoyed at having to explain that their Dark Horse SC is not a Dark Horse with a supercharger ......because really the majority of the people buying these are cars n coffee bound- not judging as I am within that crowd too lol

The Z06 is slow, it’s pretty simple, they get off the line ok and fall on their face, can’t compete at all with the heavy hitter drivetrain predator/DCT

it’s like a flyweight vs a heavyweight boxer.
You can at least make the case for a ZR1 or an X, but the Z06 is stuck 2024, d.o.a. In today’s world.
