It failed again. This time it got a little further along the OTA process than the first time, but your car never downloaded the files needed for the update after the server interrogator polled your car. I don't have a good explanation as to why it didn't download the files, as your connectivity seems to be working fine and your car is reporting itself tot he cloud regularly. Do you have good cell phone coverage where you live?Still didn't get my update but found something new
Now it shows me 'Not Completed' @rugedraw does it mean something or it will go away someday when it finaly download it?
As in park in a metal garage? Any signal/test applications one may be able to use to test? Maybe stepping into a signal void/dead zone?Do you have good cell phone coverage where you live?
I'm not sure if there is a way to measure the modem's signal strength. Unfortunately, PTS rarely gives you a straight up answer when an OTA fails. In this last case for him, the OTA trigger was created on the server on 4/19 and that same day, "consent" was given for the update to install when he started and drove the car. For these types of OTA's, the vehicle has 14 days to download the files from the server before the OTA expires, and it didn't download a single thing. However, his vehicle pinged the server back to activate the OTA trigger, so his car is talking to the mothership. As in park in a metal garage? I don't think that I have any issues with thisIt failed again. Also, you car is reporting low battery voltage soft codes to the server. In this case, the low battery did not cause the OTA to fail, but that can be an issue with future OTA's.

Yes, I can tell if your connectivity is working and it is working. I just don't have a good reason to explain why it didn't even attempt to download any of the files needed for the update in the two weeks the OTA trigger was active. The problem could very well have been on Ford's side. I don't think there's anything wrong with your car.I don't think that I have any issues with this
at least Ford Pass starting my car engine remotely just fine. If there was a way to check if the network is actually good.
Not anymore. I work for Jaguar/Land Rover now. I still have my logins and connections, though.
So if it was final attempt what should happend next? will it be issued again but later? or i will never receive one?Yes, I can tell if your connectivity is working and it is working. The only way I am tied to them is the fact that I am still a customer.Still tied to Ford Motor Company as well ...
Yes, eventually it will be resent to you. There is just no way of knowing when that will be.So if it was final attempt what should happend next? will it be issued again but later? or i will never receive one?![]()
Isn't there a "Partnership" or "Affiliation" between Ford, Jaguar and Land Rover still? The only way I am tied to them is the fact that I am still a customer.

Oh no. Ford sold Jaguar and Land Rover in 2008 and has had nothing to do with them since then. Ford was stamping a few engine blocks for JLR for a long time and Ford still makes the 5.0 block that JLR uses in the F-Type, Defender and a few other vehicles. However, the block itself is not of Ford's design; it's not a Coyote.Isn't there a "Partnership" or "Affiliation" between Ford, Jaguar and Land Rover still?
There are a couple of apps one can use to test the various signals and strengths but without knowing the min supported by the in car (tcu) modem itās shooting in the dark. Bits vs bytes throughput vs commands may potentially play a part. Getting a status or saying hello, why donāt you start or unlock for me is alot easier/shorter than say possibly downloading a (multi part) file. Hey, whatās up, long time no see, iāll call you tonight and get the scoop. Meanwhile, when returning to the batcave, little did we know the joker installed a communications blocking device (not really but the signal in the garage is so bad canāt even watch a full episode without buffering).I'm not sure if there is a way to measure the modem's signal strength. Installing and downloading is shown on the log. That's exactly it. I'm his case, it did neither. Not the first time I ever see that happen, tbh. Just never been able to figure out any it happens. There are a couple of apps one can use to test the various signals and strengths but without knowing the min supported by the in car (tcu) modem itās shooting in the dark. Installing vs downloading should be detectable in the logs but dunno ā¦.
