PP and HP are pretty well accepted and standardized. I don’t see HO too often these days but over the years it kinda meant High Output. DH-P I just never heard of or had seen before. Wouldn’t be too hard to figure out if I wanted to, but you know sometimes the juice just ain’t worth the squeeze.
If you have the P model, Ford already gave you a squeeze, then tossed you aside.

“P model”? Another new one?

And if I have one it’s somehow not a good thing?

Help me understand your thoughts if you will.

I meant SHO. I do want the Procharger HO. About them not being out yet I seen one on a YouTube video already. I do not want the Whipple again.

Well this thread definitely took a weird turn. 🤣

Back to the original post...it is funny how most older folks assume younger people can't drive a manual. While I agree it's a dying skill, you'd be surprised how many people in their 20s and 30s prefer manual cars. Especially the import enthusiasts.

Why do you think Ford made the no lift clutch? I could say, but don't want to be disparaging to still wet behind the ears youngsters. Just give them computers and a bicycle and send them on their way.

Easy. Because they wanted the manuals to be able to keep up with all the faster autos on the track.

What ever fits your narrative boomer.

Driving a stick shift is like riding a bicycle. Once you learn.... Even owning a 7 speed stick is no guarantee someone can't just jump in and drive off.

If you're one of those paranoid types who dreads the possibility of someone driving off with your garage kitten, then why do you leave the car running at the gas pump (unlawful as it is)? Or leave the keys in the car and the doors unlocked while you go inside to prepay?

And another thing. If you leave the car with your electronic keys in your pocket, but sill within the detection distance, then double lock your car. If you don't remember how to do that, read your manual.

as much as i would love to say that the stories of younger people being unable to drive manuals is false, my first-hand experience at a dealership says that it has a lot of truth to it still. i remember the time when someone brought in their GT350R and the lot attendant tasked with moving it was slipping the clutch like crazy and had the engine at like 3000 RPM... he was never allowed to move a manual transmission again after that, not even a Focus. thankfully the customer was not around to see it, and no damage was done to the clutch.

i hate when people dont shut off their vehicle before putting fuel in. i have argued with some people at work (sales people, who else?) about the risks, and yet they continue to ignore it. seems to be the younger ones mainly

Ford added no-lift shift to make the manual Mach 1 and Dark Horse more competitive on the track. the feature is only active on full throttle if i remember right, and is exclusive to those two models. at any other condition, it will act like you expect it to

Poignant reminder which happened just a few minutes ago.

When I walked from the parking lot to the grocery store, I noticed an older Kia with the engine running, and no one inside that I could see. There was someone in front of the car, so I ignored the situation. About 30 minutes later while returning to my vehicle (a Mustang of course!), the same car was there running, driver's window about half way down, and a crying baby in the back seat! Out came the cellphone, and a call to 911. By the time I got my groceries into Mustang, the police had arrived! I didn't stick around to find out what they did about this potentially-dangerous situation, however. The unfortunate part, this is NOT an isolated instance. Just another case of stupid people doing stupidly dangerous things.

Go on, tell me, you keep it in the boot...trunk.
Right on my passenger seat wedged between the center console with a piece of shammy protecting the finish of both car and gun if my pitbull is not riding shotgun. Don't even have to bother putting up my window if poochie is with me. He will not leave the car until I give command to. Then there's my P229 if I can't get to old Tommy. The trunk is where old Bessie is.
