I found a car in the color an configuration I wanted except for the Brembo brakes.

How hard is it to add the Brembos on? Is it just calipers or is it rotors also? Bolt on swap?

Thanks!

Not easy from what I've read. Find a car with them.

Mechanically it's reasonably easy, I'm not sure about ABS/TC/ESC protocols

@AZ_Ryan ..... Aren't the Brembo calipers bigger than OEM to the point where you need 21" rims? I have a 2024 GT that has Mustang Brembo writing on the front calipers but they are NOT the Brembo option. My rims are 20" and I'm pretty sure I'd have to up-size to 21s to add true Brembos.

@GrabThatBlue ..... very interesting. Could the Brembos come in different sizes? My friend ordered a 2024 Mustang GT. He wanted the star shaped rims like I have but was told by his dealer those rims would not fit over the Brembos. We went on the Ford order form and the dealer was right. If you ordered the Brembos it deleted the rims he wanted for a bigger size. I wonder if it still does?

There are only 2 different brake options on the Mustang. The basic one if you don't have the Performance Pack and if you have the Performance Pack, you will get the larger 6 pistons Brembo's in the front and 4 pistons Brembo's in the rear. The 20 Inch star shaped rims fit perfectly on the Performance Pack Brembo's.

No. You can get the Brembo option with regular 19" wheels. Ford doesn't even make a 21" wheel for the Mustang. Lol.

Guys, the upgraded Brembo brake option is available separately from the performance pack option. Both wheels on the Mustang GT and GT performance pack are 19". I've seen and even driven a couple non performance pack cars with the Brembo option. Wheel fitment is not an issue.

We are getting way off track with some bad info here...

Again, the Brembo brakes option is available separately from the performance pack and available on ALL GTs. You do not need 20" wheels for the Brembos. The performance pack wheels are 19". All S550s that had Brembos were 19". Wheel fitment is a non-issue here.

Nobody said Brembo brakes are Performance Pack exclusive.

And where did I say that you need 20" wheels for the Brembo's?

I only used the Performance Pack as an example because they come standard on the PP.

Talking about wrong info. The non Performance Pack base Mustangs come with 18" inch wheel standard. Only the Premium Mustangs come with 19".

Just like adding Brembo's to the non-Performance Pack, you can add larger wheels as well.

also, for the Brembo brakes, you will need at least 19 inch wheels. the only Mustang that ever required 20 inch wheels for brake clearances was the 2020-2022 GT500.

additionally, technically there are 4 different brake options. 2 piston front, 1 piston rear on the EcoBoost, 4 piston front, 1 piston rear on the GT, 6 piston front, 4 piston rear + parking brake caliper optional on the GT and 2024 EcoBoost, and 6 piston front, 4 piston rear + parking brake caliper with 2-piece front rotors on the Dark Horse

I have 19" wheels.

Just want to know what goes into the conversion is all.
