I completed the first oil change on my 2025 Mustang GT. The factory-specified oil capacity is 9.5 quarts. After filling to that amount and allowing the oil to settle, the dipstick level read low, just above the lower indicator hole. After adding an additional 0.5 quart, the oil level now reads nearly halfway up the dipstick hash marks.
Iām trying to determine whether this behavior is normal, whether other owners have experienced similar readings, or if this is related to the reduced oil capacity Ford implemented for the 2024ā2025 model years.
I would appreciate input specifically from 2024ā2026 Mustang owners with direct, hands-on experience. Please refrain from commenting if you do not own one of these model years. Thank you.
