Ford has been a joke with this whole process. My dark horse order was confirmed 03/27/2023. I check in with the dealer every couple of months and they keep telling me they have no updates. Maybe i'll get picked up for the 2027 model year.

Does anyone know when Ford starts shifting production to 2025 or when they cancel your order? I ordered on 7/18/24…not sure if it’ll be pushed to 2025.

My neighbors do that already, they're golfers and own road-legal golf carts. Their kids use them in Summer to get around the neighborhood.

Wow you have been waiting for over 1 year and still not in production. Me with my 6 months.

Honestly I don't believe that the cause is Ford. They are not in business to not sell cars. It's the supplier chain that is the culprit. But I do agree that Ford should be more transparent and give us more info on why. Not saying anything to the customer is, well a real lack of respect. For the kind of money we are paying it should be the least they could do.

Hello Folks :)

I hope you're all doing well. I am VERY new to the site and had a few questions.

I ordered a 2024 Mustang GT premium in vapor blue yesterday at the dealership. It has the 401 package with B&O, active valve exhaust and manual transmission.

Originally I was worried I didn't have enough time for my build to be made as a 2024 (no way I can afford the 2025s) but since I've found this site I've gone from worried to feeling a sense of impending doom haha.

If there are people on here waiting for a GT since May-June, do I really even have any hope at all of my Mustang being built as a 2024? Or are my odds of that happening really sitting around like 2% which is how I feel right now?

This is so unfortunate, but I'm hoping someone with a lot more experience in this can let me know if I really do have a decent shot or if I waited way too long. I'm going to ask my dealership on Monday to try and prioritize it and get a high number, but even with that do I really truly have a good shot? Or has this become a pipe dream of mine?

I'm also a little worried about a few of my items being exhausted and limited now. We didn't buy the night Pont package explicitly trying to avoid this haha. Is there any chance Ford might continue the 2024 past the target date to try and fill some orders since the lines have been down for July?

Anyways. I was hoping to become a part of this community but now I'm a little worried that's not happening now haha. Thank you to everyone who chimes in with some advice.

Right now they are still taking orders so I would guess they expect to build them. Balance out is coming next month. When that happens they are trying to build everything in the system before the new MY production begins (as I understand it), and they are NOT taking any more orders during balance out. So could you get your 24? It's possible, but I would say it's not guaranteed.

You said there is no NPP in your build. Did you order the performance pack? If not, I think your odds go way up of actually getting built. There is always a chance you get snubbed and your order moved to a 2025 (has already happened to a few members). Good luck!

Thank you so much for taking the time to message me. You have definitely alleviated some anxiety for me!!!!! Lol.

I've dreamt about owning a Mustang GT since I was a fat little 12 year old kid. I've owned two V6s so far, and this model year is just so gorgeous it was time to splurge a little.

I really do hope this pulls through. Yes, no night poney package and no perfomance package, so fingers are truly crossed. I'm just going to add the NPP over time lol.

I haven't even driven the GT, they only had a dark horse, which was amazing, but I hope it's not too much if a different animal than the GT lol. That exhaust was heaven sent.

I built my exact 2024 in a 2025 and it cost $11000.00 more. They are now charging $995 for the B&O sound system EVEN if you get 401A - Farkin' A**Holes... and then you have to wiat a year for your build - 🤣🤣🤣

That's actually scary. It's why I'm so terrified they won't make my 2024 GT because I only just ordered it and there's no way I can afford the 2025 mark up.

I would just be without a Mustang GT period and that would really such after finally making the decision to buy one.

The only paint colors that are not up charged are white, silver, black and gray. Even race red is $295.

Hey guys, just saw a video from alabamaford.com and they are doing 2025s for invoice! They did not do this when I ordered my 24 GT. Great way to deal with the price increase, and overall these guys were great to deal with. They will even deliver the car if you want them to. Easiest and best car buying experience in 30 years of buying cars. Link to the video below, and if you need a salesman lmk and I'll hook you up with my guy:
