Why do you say going to a GT500 is pure ego? It’s a fantastic car, there are way more reasons to own one than ego. Some of the most humble, unassuming people I know own GT500’s. You’d never know they had them if you didn’t seem them in their garages
Ya never know what a guy has in his garage. I understand the "ego" thing. I have never owned a GT350, or a GT500, but I have lusted after them, for many years. Glenn

ComicRacer14692,
You got some great advice here. I can't speak to the GT350 or 500. As I said earlier, I have lusted after them but never owned one. What I can say, IMHO, is I think my GT Premium Vert is fantastic. The handling and ride are phenomenal. I am never, I think, taking it to a drag or racecourse track, and I think it would serve you well for commuting. As someone, who commuted an hour each way, for 38 years, I can say that handling and ride are extremely important. The GT350 and 500 may give you a better adrenaline rush but how often are you going to be able to do that, on the street. As, Upacurb, said, "they are definitely more on "edge" which might become tiresome after a while....." " Good luck with your decision. Glenn

No going to argue with any other logic than that GT350 is an 8 model year old car. Eight, and is the same price? Yeah, no

You really should drive a GT350 first. It's more different than a GT than you might think, and to some people not in a good way. My wife was in the passenger seat videoing my first drive in one, so I have a record of commenting something to the effect of, "you mash the pedal, and it just does nothing till you hit about 5000 rpm. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm disappointed."

Now, some of my buddies never drive below 5000 rpm, so for them, the GT350 is mind-blowingly great. It's one of those cars where it's exactly what some people are looking for, so if you are one of them, you might be missing out if you don't at least try it before making your decision.

sounds like and old two stroke race bike, waiting for it to "come up on the pipe"
Boy does that ever bring back the old days!!

It was a lot of fun when it hit though, especially on my open class Huskys and KTMs. What a rush!
