I agree, but how do you twist the square PCV out of a square base.

So I figured out the noise it's coming from the PCV Valve. If I remove the line the noise stops. I want to replace it and have a new one but can't get the old one out. Does anyone know how to remove it out of the square recess.

The sagga never ends. Ford just replaced the engine on my DH for an oil consumption issue last month and now I have an engine noise that was not there before. It happens on first start and just when it comes down from high idle and last about 5 seconds. After the engine is warm it still does it...

Ok have it your way I'm just passing along what I went through with Ford. The manual is incorrect that they state check cold but Ford doesen't do that anymore so the manual is misleading.

It says you can check it either way but my dealer is saying that you should not check it cold. I had a big disscussion with them becuase of my oil consumption issue. They had to replace my engine for the oil issue.

Not according to Ford they will never check engine oil cold.

Once you do it one time the next time will be easier. Takes me about an hour from start to finish. My 2024 book says 10 QTS but it only takes 9.5. Ford screwed up the manual becuase the 2025 says 9.5 and you can verify with your VIN number. Just like Ford dealer states to check the oil level...

Engine finally replaced. Tech said the passenger side manifold was full of oil. Well we know it was internal. Now starts the break in period.
