It's crazy. My wife has a 2023 Chevy Trailblazer and her filter is a mesh screen on the pump in the tank. Parts guy said it's $1000 to change it out. Not going to even consider that. Like most people on this forum I do all my own maintenance (all mechanical things) and I find it simply stupid...
I was doing some research on my S650 for the fuel filter and I'm unable to find it. Even my service manual doesn't show one. Ford dealer says there is none, (really) can't believe that. I know the S550 had them but it seems Ford has done away with them. Does anyone know if this is true.
I have friends in the parts department and he said it's crazy as the Ford depot has over 70 engines for warranty replacement so Ford must know that there going to see more of this same issue. My car was built Aug of 23.
No smoke, I was going to pull the plugs but they already have the new engine, scheduled to be put in the 1st week of July. All the dealer did was the oil consumption test by the factory service manual. Dealer states Ford no longer allows dealer to find root cause on warranty engines just...
