Ford has started the process of oil consumption check. They changed the oil and filter today and I have to bring the car in every 200 miles for them to check the oil level, they marked the dipstick. Next step if it continues to burn oil is to do compression checks and if they can't find any...

Lots of exhaust soot mostly on the passenger side and I have had the ford oil catch can installed since new, normal mount of oil in the can nothing unusual.

I have a log that I started after I bought the car new and it shows dates, mileage, and oil consumption. It runs great but very concerning for this car. I've never owned a car in all my 70 years that uses this much oil, even my 2022 Mach 1 never used a drop.

I check mine once a week after it has sat overnight and it's been like this for a year now.

Is your car a 24 or 25? Ford made a mistake in the manual on the amount of oil to be used on the 24 as it states 10 qts of oil when it should be 9.5. The 25 manual was corrected.

Paid $20 for it and I'll let you know.
