I was doing some research on my S650 for the fuel filter and I'm unable to find it. Even my service manual doesn't show one. Ford dealer says there is none, (really) can't believe that. I know the S550 had them but it seems Ford has done away with them. Does anyone know if this is true.

The fuel filter is in the tank and non-replaceable.

My 2015 GT and 23 Mach 1 did not. You sure that attachment is for an S550?

The 2011's has the filter in the tank. Its been that way for awhile. I had a 1996 Towncar that had a filter that looked like the one in image.

Nothing Ford does would surprise me. They make changes on things many times in a year. You find this out when you go and buy replacement parts and you need the date of manufacture as they made changes at different times. It would seem Ford would be on board to save $ as that filter would cost more than crapy one in the tank.

It's crazy. My wife has a 2023 Chevy Trailblazer and her filter is a mesh screen on the pump in the tank. Parts guy said it's $1000 to change it out. Not going to even consider that. Like most people on this forum I do all my own maintenance (all mechanical things) and I find it simply stupid that Ford and other manufactures just don't put the oil style filter on these cars so they can be replaced.

As far as I know, the filter has been in the tank on Mustangs since 2010.

It may be that certain performance models, like a Mach 1 with track pack would be offered with a replaceable filter. FYI, I read the manual on my 2025 and it states that the filter is in the tank.
